Our Team

Sofia Burgin Cofounder

I’m a high school student in Arlington, Virginia with a big love for bikes. Arlington and the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area (DMV) are super bike-able, which is amazing!

Biking safety is really important to me, being a life-long cyclist, especially because it’s a real issue and something that isn’t taught a lot to new drivers like me.

I want to make safety information for cyclists and drivers alike accessible for everyone, so that we can all work together to make our roads safer places for EVERYONE. We can do it!

Bryon Burgin Cofounder

I’m hard of hearing, I love bikes, and I wear many hats on this ride. A proud dad and dedicated bike advocate, I have a legal and planning background and work to make cycling more inclusive and accessible.

Since my arrival to the DMV from Missouri nearly a decade ago—where I worked with Habitat for Humanity—I’ve immersed myself in the local bike scene, including managing local shops across the DMV. I’m an avid all-weather bike commuter and have experience in community development and planning, as well as in bike policy, education, sales, and mechanics.

What I like the most about being in the nation’s capital is being able to help out at organizations like Enterprise Community Partners, the League of American Bicyclists, Gearin’ Up, and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) to make the DMV, states, regions, and our nation more bicycle-friendly. We can do it!

We’d love to hear from you - share your experiences and tips for sharing the road with us!
