Hand signals

Hand signals are the most effective way for cyclists to let others on the road (cyclists and drivers alike) know what their next course of action is. They can be used to express what direction a cyclist plans to go, a change in speed, or when a cyclist needs to stop. Since bikes don’t have turning signals like cars do, hand signals are a good way for a cyclist to communicate.
